A great deal has changed with us in the past year.
A year ago I was working 5 days per week, maintaining practices at two clinics. And squeezing in a little research, plus the teaching of NCBTMB classes evenings and weekends.
I was moving fast. Then life suddenly caught up to me. Actually it caught me and ran me over like a bus. Oh well, life will do that.
My husband had a heart attack last spring, and then it was a cascade of major and minor changes during the following six months. All is good, even great. God Bless the hands that saved my wonderful husband's life. He is doing well, super in fact. But it was also a paradigm shift for us. A big change for me.
It has brought into focus an opportunity that I would not have taken so quickly otherwise..... because I love the clients I had to refer to great therapists.....as I moved a day's travel distance away suddenly. Leaving clients, friends, and family.... and moving to another state - this was one of the most difficult things I have ever done. I keep saying, "it is the people I miss" because that is the truth of it. I do miss them.
And at the same time, I am here in Tennessee with my husband, children, a new grand baby.... It is a wonderful new life....and I am extremely happy.
And like I mentioned, it is an opportunity!
It is time to make the next turn in the road..... to focus my energies on teaching, writing and researching about fascia and massage.
My driving passion has always been to improve client care, because improved client care is the core reason behind our efforts. In-clinic, I strived every day to better serve my own clients at the front-line of care. Today, I seek to serve clients by serving our profession...... in order to nourish the foundation from which improved client care grows. It is an opened door for me to work toward elevating respect and increasing the knowledge base of the therapeutic massage and bodywork profession itself.... and thereby facilitate, promote, and celebrate the In-clinic work of the massage professionals.
I am excited at this opportunity,
I want to thank you for visiting my site. And for your patience, as I have and will be making improvements to this site and my services. Also, I ask you to continue to visit occasionally as I work on several projects (listed on the Current Projects Page).
