"Humankind has not woven the web of life.  We are but one thread within it.  Whatever we do to the web, we do to ourselves.  All things are bound together.
All things connect."

Popliteus:  (from wikipedia.org)
"The popliteus muscle in the leg is used for unlocking the knees when walking, by medially rotating the tibia during the closed chain portion of the gait cycle (one with the foot in contact with the ground). It is also used when sitting down and standing up. It is the only muscle in the posterior (back) compartment of the lower leg that acts just on the knee and not on the ankle. The gastrocnemius muscle acts on both joints

Tai Chi Exercises & Fascia
An interesting article.....the meridians and the fascia do seem to run in the same general patterns if you lay Thomas Myers' Anatomy Trains graphics over the meridian drawings.  And being as fascia often has a higher density relative to other nearby structures and is wholly connected bodywide - bioelectricity would probably find fascia an easier path to follow.

This article is about animal fascia......our bodies are similar in their fascial structure.  It is the 3D webbing that holds everything together and provides a gliding/sliding layer between everything.  It is interesting that animal husbandry people are also seeing the important role of fascia.
