For 50 great, successful years I lived in the Show-Me State....southern Missouri is a super place to live. I grew up there. Went to school and college there. My husband and I grew our family there. My friends, family, careers....all there. We raised cattle, farmed, rode horses in Mark Twain National Forest, flew ultra-light airplanes, created a very successful printing business, kayaked, had our ups and downs, and so much so much more. And life changes....
At 42 I answered my calling and we sold the printing business and I attended massage school. From day one I have zero regrets.....I feel like a fish that spent all its life climbing oak trees....and finally found the depths of a limitless ocean, And so, for the next 7 years I worked in West Plains, Missouri as a massage therapist. I had the great blessing of working in two clinics....one I launched on my own in the First & Jefferson Building. And the other working with Dr. Ranee Roberts at West Plains Family Chiropractic. I worked a full therapeutic massage schedule every week between both locations, and additionally began in 2014 to teach NCBTMB Approved Continuing Ed Classes evenings and weekends. It is not an easy task to pull up roots and move when life is going great....but my husband's job called him to western N. Carolina. And he said, "Come visit me here, you will really like it." And change happens. Sometimes life is as wide and as fast as a 6-lane interstate, and sometimes it narrows down and takes you around a 10 MPH curve. And that is fine too. These TN/NC mountains are a special place I cannot describe with words. I know no other way to say it except..... The Smokey Mountains have called to me ....and here I am.
