Pj Swink, LMT, LMBT, MS, MBA
Pj Swink is a Licensed Massage Therapist practicing both at her own clinic in the First & Jefferson Building and under the direction of Ranee Roberts, D.C. at West Plains Family Chiropractic. Having completed more than 9400 hours of client sessions in the past 6 1/2 years, her practice focuses on clinical therapeutic massage. Motor vehicle accidents, repetitive motion injuries, and sports injuries are a large portion of her clientele. In addition to study in many different therapeutic techniques, including Cranial Sacral Therapy, Reflexology, Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Release, Manual Lymph Drainage (Vodder Method), Quigong, Acupressure, Sports Massage, Pj has developed and practices Fascial Balancing Technique®. Fascial Balancing Technique® is a massage technique, which is used to free the fascial restrictions of the body acquired from both age and injury, while balancing the lines of fascial tensioning.
Pj has taught massage technique and Tai Chi for Massage Therapists for School of Massage Arts, Nixa, MO. She has completed the NCBTMB Approved Massage Therapy Instructors Course offered by the Ariana Institute, Austin, TX. She is a certified Instructor of Youn Wha Ryu. In addition, she holds a B.S. in Comprehensive Marketing and an M.B.A. in Management from Missouri State University.
Pj is a professional member of the ABMP and AMTA, is nationally certified by the NCBTMB. She holds state massage licenses in Missouri, Arkansas, and N. Carolina. She has taken and passed both the NCBTMB and the MBLEx exams. In addition, she is an Approved CEU Provider for NCBTMB.
Blessed with the unique opportunity to work with and learn from Dr. Ranee Roberts serving many clients with a wide variety of challenging soft tissue injuries, Pj brought her own life experience and corporate business expertise together to create an extremely successful massage therapy practice in the West Plains area. Whereas her former occupations, which spanned 20+ years as a business manager of a newspaper and a commercial printing CFO were lucrative endeavors, the art and science of massage are her true calling. Not just a job and even more than a career, massage is who she is and what she does. It is a calling answered, and thus greatly rewarded.
She has developed Fascial Balancing Technique® over the past 6 years, the result of a quest to excel at her craft and discover solutions to seemingly impossible soft tissue issues. She is thankful for the help of clients, healthcare professionals, colleagues, and the ability and availability of rigorous study and practice opportunities. Pj is excited and encouraged to share this technique with other massage professionals in the hope they and their clients will benefit.
She is currently in the process of relocating to the Smokey Mountains near Knoxville, Tennessee.
